Appeal for information and witnesses following report of racially aggravated incident in Southsea

Officers investigating a report of racially aggravated incident in Southsea are appealing for witnesses and information.

It was reported to us on Tuesday 9 December that a video has been circulating on social media platforms which appears to show a man being racially abusive towards another man and threatening him with a knife.

We had not previously received a report about this incident.

We currently believe this incident took place on Stanley Street on Sunday 7 December.

Officers are carrying out enquiries, and have been reviewing the footage and CCTV in the area, to identify the men in the video and to establish the full circumstances. We're keen to speak to anyone who witnessed or who was involved in the incident to establish the full circumstances.
